PTH 3 Year Supplemental Warranty

Exclusively for model PTH 50 (non-scissor) purchased with effect from 1st September 2019 and as a supplement to the standard PTH warranty, Crown Equipment (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (“Crown”) warrants to and for the sole benefit of the original purchaser of material handling equipment sold by Crown, that such equipment is free from defects in material and workmanship under normal and proper use, operation and maintenance.

This warranty shall remain in effect for a period of three (3) years after delivery of the equipment to the Original Purchaser.

To claim under this supplemental warranty, notice of any claimed defect must be promptly given by the Original Purchaser to Crown. The unit should, as directed by Crown, either be promptly returned to the Crown office: 15 Tuas Avenue 8, Singapore 639230, or the Original Purchaser’s nearest Crown branch, at the cost of the Original Purchaser.

If upon evaluation by Crown, it is determined this supplemental warranty applies, the unit will be replaced with a new model PTH 50 (non-scissor).

Damage or defects from overloading or other misuse, negligence, abuse, accident, failure to follow instructions, or from other causes having an origin other than in manufacturer of the equipment are not within scope of this warranty.

Accessories, options, labour, transportation and freight are not included in this supplemental warranty. Crown reserves the right to make changes and improvement in the design and construction of its equipment without hereby being obligated to make corresponding changes and improvements in the previously manufactured equipment.

The term “Original Purchaser” as used in this warranty means that the customer to whom the equipment was first delivered to use.

The benefits to the Original Purchaser given by this warranty are in addition to other legal rights and remedies the Original Purchaser may have in relation to the material handling equipment.

Except as otherwise provided by law, the warranty set forth herein is the complete and entire warranty made by Crown, and there are no other warranties, express or implied, whether of merchantability, fitness for particular purpose, or otherwise, made by Crown.

Where the original purchaser is a consumer as defined by any relevant law, and such law confers rights on the consumer which cannot be restricted, then such rights shall prevail over any contrary provisions herein.

No person is authorised to make any other or additional warranty on behalf of Crown.

The right to repair or replacement, as set forth herein, is the sole and exclusive remedy for breach of the above warranty, and Crown shall not be liable for any losses (including economic losses) damages whether direct, incidental, consequential or otherwise, occasioned by any breach of this warranty, or for any charges or expenses of any nature incurred without Crown’s consent. In no event shall Crown’s liability under any claim which cannot be excluded by law (but can be limited), exceed the purchase price of the equipment in respect of which damages are claimed.
